Oxfam is to permanently leave Sudan’s refugee camp after its aid workers are attacked by rebel factions. According to a Al Jazeera report, an aid worker was raped, an Oxfam staff member beaten and others subjected to mock executions on three aid bases in the camp of Gereida in December.

Oxfam used to provide water and sanitation, healthcare and livelihood education to 130,000 Darfuris encamped around Gereida town. After they leave, the International Committee for the Red Cross will help with the provision of water.
