Iran Executes More in 2006

According to Amnesty International Australia, Iran has executed 210 since this year as compared to 177 in 2006 though the real number is expected to be higher.
That is despite the fact that Iran is a signatory to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; which states that for countries which has not abolished the death penalty, it should only be reserved for the most serious crimes - Article 6(2).
Crimes punishable by death in Iran include committing adultery by married people or same-sex sexual conduct.

yep, gay people don’t get a break in many parts of the World…it’s a stinkin’ bloody World in some ways. But it’s all we’ve got. Just a shame so many have to spend valuable time fighting the bigots, war-mongers, religious zealots, Gordon Gecko fans & total bloody idiots. what i’d give to have a group of aliens come to this Planet & alter their biology, turn them all into cartoon animals…:)
