Burma - the role of the military and the police

I think that we need to urge the non-ruling military and police to say enough is enough.
The miltary and police must have relatives who are suffering, they must have relatives who are monks. I think that this might be the only solution to avoid greater bloodshed and suffering, to avoid it without conflict. By laying down their arms it can be achieved peacefully.
The question is: how can we get this message through to them?
